I am about to restore a '72 Camaro Z28 / RS, that suffers from rust, especially in the lower / rear area.. Browsing through Summit, I can see there are 4 major brands of sheet . i've got the 'non-american' sheet metal on my 69, but it did have fitment issues that needed massaging (which means costs more). the good part is that the steel is high quality . for Mustangs, I get Dynacorn whenever I can. Not that Dynacorn is perfect by any means, but the quality is still quite a bit better than the other producer or two, Golden Legion . No replacement sheet metal for the Mustangs consistently fits without adjustments, regardless of brand. Even the Ford tooling got a bit tired at the end of their lives, and the .

Metal is one of the cheapest things you can get for our cars in terms of wholesale parts replacement. The guys who built them said that it was nice having all virgin .I bought two full quarters from a Dynacorn dealer and the rear windown valance. The quarters showed up in good shape but once the body shop got to the installation they had all kinds of problems. The quarters didnt fit right, the weather strip channel was not there. The guys at Pat's had to do all kinds of extra work because of it. I am not very happy and am second guessing .
I have yet to buy any sheet metal for my 65 Mustang that is a good fit, correct gauge, and correct contours. Example: it took 3 attempts to find a rt front apron section that fit right without a welder and a hammer. I do not buy a lot of this kind of stuff but so far my experience hasn't been real good with any of it. I like AMD for fenders. Put a Dynacorn SS hood on my 68 & it was excellent. Saw a Dynacorn 69 complete body shell (,000 +) being installed & it looked pretty good too. Assume any vendor brand will need some tweaking & some body work it make it perfect. I have a lot of dynacorn sheet metal sitting around leftover from prior builds that I no longer have any use for. I value the space far more.. So I am practically giving this stuff away. I listed the parts numbers and descriptions to the best of my knowledge. I will post some pics tomorrow. Let me know if you are interested. I really hope to give it all away at once for a lump . Been on a lot of mustang forums- read a lot about sheet metal. Some say Dynacorn isn’t the best fitting or quality. From my research NPD seems to get best reviews . It’s my understanding that ALL the sheet metal is made overseas and the only real difference here in the U.S. is which companies have stricter standards on what they accept.
MuscleRodz, I completely agree that RDS is the better choice but I am wondering if it is worth the large price difference. Dynacorn - k / RDS - k plus another 00 to get it shipped to Idaho. Dynacorn is close enough that I can go and get it myself or ship for around 0 so the Dynacorn is roughly k cheaper. AMD, DYNACORN, GOODMARK, OEM sheetmetal.
